Human beings defend the earth and fight to the death with alien warships at sea.

The film was released in the United States on May 18, 2012 and in Chinese Mainland on April 18, 2012.The film tells that lieutenant Alex hope, a U.S. naval officer, was sent by his superiors to perform his duties on the missile destroyer USS John Paul Jones. During a multinational joint maritime exercise in Hawaii, the fleet encountered an alien giant Mothership hidden in the deep Pacific Ocean. Alex led the Navy Fleet isolated by the protective cover and shook and fought with alien warships from outer space.
