Donald Trump Calls For Drug Dealers To Be Executed For Causing Harm To Society

Donald Trump has advocated for convicted drug dealers to receive the death penalty in the United States.

The former President claimed those who sell illegal narcotics cause harm to society and the community and therefore it should be an 'eye for an eye'.

Trump revealed his feelings about drug dealers during a speech at the America First Policy Institute summit.

He said it would be far better to give them a quick death rather than let them sit in prison for decades.

“You execute a drug dealer and you save 500 lives, because they kill on average 500 people”, he said.

“It’s terrible to say but you take a look at every country in this world that doesn’t have a problem with drugs, they have a very strong death penalty for the people that sell drugs.”

He explained how during a conversation with China's leader, Xi Jinping, it was revealed drug dealers are put to death in the country if they're convicted.

Similarly, former Filipino President Rodrigo Duterte famously called for drug addicts in his country to be executed.

Back in 2017, he said during a press conference: “If Germany had Hitler, the Philippines would have...,” before pointing to himself, according to The Guardian.

He added: “Hitler massacred three million Jews ... there’s three million drug addicts. There are. I’d be happy to slaughter them.”
