Join me for this weeks Illinois country living FARM VLOG. This week we will start preparing for spring by taking a farm tour and pruning all of the food plot apple trees, Winching the flooded farm pond boat out with the Polaris Ranger XP1000 Northstar, check in with the new Bobcat T650 skid steer and move some implements around in the pole barn, and more. Weather down here is extremely volatile, often one day it will be snowing and/or freezing rain, and the next it can be 50, 60 or even 70 in late February! This year, so far, seems to be a cold one! Part of our overall land management goal and wildlife habitat improvement was to plant fruit trees in every one of our deer food plots, to continually increase the wildlife attractiveness. Join me on a cold and blustery February day to take a farm tour and prune all of the deer apple trees, as well as to pull the farm pond boat out of the pond with the Polaris Ranger XP1000 winch, since I left the boat last fall and it got flooded, of course I will end up breaking something, just watch, as well as checking in at the Pole Barn with the Bobcat T650 CTL/Skid steer to keep moving around skid steer implements in and around the barn.
