The Walking Dead - New Theory to Explain SARS-CoV-2 Re-Infections

Multiple countries are now reporting cases of patients recovering from COVID-19 but subsequently testing positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus. Guangdong in China found 14% of "recovered" cases tested positive afteward. Now Japan and Israel have reported cases where this happened as well. A pair of pre-print studies (not peer-reviewed yet) speculate on a potential reason for this involving SARS-CoV-2 acting in some ways like a bacteriophage; hitching a ride with Prevotella bacteria found in the human gastro-intestinal tract in varying degree from person to person.
