Going Straight to Farms for Produce & Meat
What is it like buying meat, vegetables, eggs and other items directly from farms? Here's a video pictorial of what it's like.
Going straight to farms to buy your weekly groceries, farm stands, buying eggs at the side of the road, farmers' markets, farm produce deliveries...it's a back to nature experience.
This video shows a connection to food and land. Where does your food come from? Here you can picture it more. The food is fresh, grown by the farmer.
The technical term for buying straight from farmers may be disintermediation (concerning food supply). In other words, the removal of intermediaries in a supply chain or "cutting out the middle man."
Farmers are a very special part of Canada! Growing the food we eat! Taking risks, and working hard.
