Will Robinson Can't Fly Yet - Lost in Space - How Did The Jupiter Get Back To The Resolute

There are far too many obvious contradictions in the plot point of the Jupiter 2 making it back to the Resolute for it to be plot holes. It makes much more sense that the writers were hiding something.
