Victim Was On Phone With 911 During Shooting, Police Arrived Later

A man is dead after deputies said he broke into a Pickaway County home and was shot by the homeowner Sunday night.

According to the Pickaway County Sheriff's Office, deputies received a call from a person who said a man was breaking in when the shooting happened.

The man was found deceased inside the house when officers arrived.

The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) was requested to the scene for assistance and the incident remains under investigation.
