03-04-20. Well it is time to drain the duck impoundment, aka duck pond, duck food plot, waterfowl food plot, small pond and more. Join me for some fresh air on our Southern Illinois farm as we continually work on our land management and habitat improvement projects. Of course we'll have some tractor fun & tractor humor sprinkled in for those of you like my buddy CJ at Schick Happens who visited us and left a bunch of his Kubota tractor signs laying about the property. We'll see what the Bobcat e42 Mini Excavator thinks about the Kubota tractor signs! LOL. Then we'll put the Bobcat e42 Mini Excavator to work by digging the duck impoundment bigger and storing up some good clay to move to other parts of the farm with the Bobcat T650 CTL/MTL Skid steer as soon as it dries up in just a day or two! (Hopefully no more rain!). Today I will release the culvert balloon/plug to begin draining the duck impoundment/duck food plot so that I can continue to work to improve the duck pond dam system and improve the property overall.
