The Islamic Crusades - the Jihad against Christendom

The Islamic Crusades have never ended. The 1st Crusade was a response to 462 years of warfare on Christendom, 548 jihad attacks, including rampant piracy, that destroyed the European economy and plunged Europe into the Dark Ages. The trade routes East were closed, forcing the famed European Voyages of Discovery to find an eastern sea route. Islam was not driven out of Europe until 1699, 16 years after the Battle of Vienna. America's first war was against the Islamic jihad, leading to the creation of the Marines.
