Timber wood: Short Stories Edition Vol. 21

It's a rainy day. Lightning, thunderstorms, flash flooding, tornadoes, hail, etc. Just BAD weather. Everyone's original plans are cancelled. Some of the infants & toddlers are sad & crying because they're too young to understand why they can't go play outside.

Matthew yelled at the kids, saying, "Y'all cut all 'lat cryin'!"

Cornelius tried to appease the children with some fudge popsicles. It worked, & they eventually forgot about why they were crying.

The teens wanted a party, anyway, so they called it, "The 'Just Because ' Party". They just wanted to party & throw down. They weren't letting the bad weather stop them. They wanted to make the party just as wild as the weather outside. They started wildly making a BIG mess, "decorating" the whole house with confetti, glitter & party tissue paper.

With the party that they already intended to have, they started a food fight. Right after the food fight, Dylan & Jai started trying to decorate the WHOLE house with food coloring, cake batter, icing, tapioca pudding (that nobody likes), cookie dough, chocolate & caramel syrup, & rhubarb pie filling (that nobody eats). They didn't care about staining the walls.

Nick & Toury were angry because they had to repaint the whole interior of the house again. They had JUST painted that house!

Carlos said, "Look at y'all! Y'all made the house look worse than what's outside. Y'all made this mess, y'all clean it & repaint it! Y'all got this house looking worse than Hurricane Katrina!"

The innocent little ones were crying because they were afraid that they were getting punished, too. Cassandra threatened to notify the cult leaders & have the children straightened up.

6-year old Teddy asked, "Aww, man! Does that mean we gotta clean up outside, too? It's not our fault. We didn't make the tornado fly around like ring around the Rosie!"

Matthew replied, "No, Son! Y'all little ones didn't make the mess. The big ones will pay!"

Teddy said, "Oh." Then, the rest of the kids laughed.

The teens learned a valuable lesson from destroying property. They never did that again. Even when they became older adults.
