Why Euro hits parity with U.S. Dollar for the first time in 20 years

The Euro is collapsing.. Or is the US Dollar strengthening. Any how, the euro's value is equal to that of 1 dollar today. The last time the euro was in parity with the dollar it happened about 20 years ago in 2002.
