All children need an opportunity for a good education. The public school system in the United States does not provide the opportunity for a good education to all children. Without an intervention, impoverished neighborhoods are stuck with low-grade schools. Fixing the public school system is not easy and it is not one solution. There are multiple components that need to be adjusted to improve the overall quality of public school education in the United States: home environment, funding, curriculum, job opportunities, cost of living, and more.
