Watch This Before You Start a Podcast (You'll Be Surprised)

Thinking of starting a podcast in 2020 to promote your business? Before you do, let me share my experience with you. I want you to get the most views and listens for your content, that's why I'm sharing my experience with my podcast.

I launched Enhancing the Human Experience Podcast over two years ago. I'm currently producing episode 140. I've been watching my YouTube video views grow steadily at a much higher pace than my podcast episodes. Granted, I know there are other channels specifically for podcasts I'm not addressing here, but the bottom line is that in my experience over the past few years, people would much rather watch a video than listen to a podcast. Proof of this is seen in the number of podcasts that are actually video casts (Under The Skin with Russell Brand, The Joe Rogan Experience, The Tim Ferris Show, etc.)

This isn't to say that a podcast can't be a good way to share your knowledge and experience (or what you love) but I think you should take a good look at video content marketing as well and in fact, I'd recommend going all-in on video content in 2020 before you start a podcast. From my own experience I just feel you'll get your message in front of a broader audience.
