When Irish Eyes are Smiling (Chauncey Olcott Acoustic Cover) - 2022 One Take series #70

Today is my grandmother Catherine Agnes Ryan’s birthday - Happy 128 years, Nan!!! She was the anchor of my father’s family - when my grandfather sadly died at the young age of 49 in the depths of the Depression, he left my grandmother with 6 young kids to raise. She - and my older uncles - stepped up to the plate and raised 5 young men and a young lady up to become the best generation. She was a first generation Irish-American, and she was the epitome of what most people consider an Irishwoman - religious, responsible, kind and matronly. Thank you Nan for everything you gave to us!
