2 Palestinian gunmen killed in clash with Israeli forces mourned in funeral procession

Thousands of Palestinians attended a funeral procession Sunday for two gunmen killed by Israeli security forces earlier in the day during a raid at a home in the West Bank city of Nablus.

The Fatah al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades militant group claimed the two men were its members. The Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed the deaths of the two, as well as six others who were injured.

During the funeral procession, gunmen marching through the city fired into the air.

Police claimed Israeli security forces were on an apparent arrest raid outside the house of a wanted suspect and came under fire by gunmen. They then "responded with live fire and other means until neutralizing the terrorists inside the house and on its roof," police said.
