03-17-20. Join me and my buddy Phil for Step 1 of our plan of building a bridge over our farm pond 'boat channel,' which is picking up the steel beams. We've been looking for quite some time now in Facebook Marketplace and online ads but the good deals get sold really fast! We thought we could use a mobile home steel frame but could not find the right one for our project. So, in today's episode we'll take a look at the boat channel that connects our 2 farm ponds, throw in some fun bass fishing to help us all have some hope for spring and summer, and make the road trip to pick up the steel that I purchased. Here is the full bass fishing video if you'd like some more green grass and sunshine:

Of course, we did not expect it to be quite as heavy as it ended up being, so we really had to use our imaginations and both of our broken down bodies, with some mathematical leverage and levers to get it loaded up for the trip back! Of course we'll have some fun as usual on the road trip! Then back at our Southern Illinois homestead it will be time to fire up the Branson tractor to offload the steel beams! Its been a while since the Branson tractor was running, so it was really nice firing 'Optimus' up and giving him some diesel time! And man, it was WAY easier offloading the steel beams with the tractor, LOL.
