More Than a Feeling (Boston Acoustic Cover) - 2022 One Take series #119

I'm completely sympathetic to the fact that Tom Scholz was the absolute musical genius behind all Boston songs, but let's be honest  - he looked more like a computer geek than a rock star. He picked the band perfectly, though, and from the first time I saw the video for More Than a Feeling, I was blown away by the Neanderthal look of Sib Hashian (can you tell!?) and the trance-like, proto head-banging hypnotized bass of Fran Sheehan - simply the coolest rhythm duo of 70's arena rock!

I always most appreciate musicians who try to give their interpretations of a song, not just cover note-for-note. I was never suited for being in a band; my first and only band I was in during 7th grade kicked me out because I wouldn't play it "like the record". I play it the way I feel like playing it, and always have! This is how I hear Brad Delp's acoustic.

2022 One Take series; pick up the guitar, and hit "record" for one go around - and see how it goes! No edit, no retakes, no amplification. My goal is to work through my playbook alphabetically (more or less) in the year, recording a video every day (more or less).
