On May 9, the last day of South Korean President Moon Jae-in's term of office, South Koreans gathered in the square in front of the Blue House in the afternoon to watch Moon Jae-in leave.
At 18:00 local time, Moon Jae-in walked out of the Blue House of the Presidential Palace and came to the square to bid farewell to the Korean people gathered here.
Moon Jae-in will return to his hometown in Gyeongsangnam-do after the inauguration ceremony of the new president Yoon Seok-wook on May 10 and start his retirement.
