Sermon Text: 1 Corinthians 15:20-22
1.) Eternal Hope: Death and Resurrection (1 Cor 15:20)
2.) Federal Headship: Adam and Christ (1 Cor 15:21-22)

1. The resurrection rooted Gospel faith in historical facts.
2. The resurrection validated that Jesus is who He claimed to be: truly God and truly man.
3. The resurrection displayed the sovereign authority of Jesus and the supremacy of the Godhead.
4. The resurrection demonstrated that Jesus finished what He came to do: defeat death, sin, and Satan.
5. The resurrection confirmed God’s acceptance of Jesus’ sacrifice for the sins of His people.
6. The resurrection proclaimed the exclusivity of the gospel, that there is eternal life in none other.
7. The resurrection prepared for those who trust in Christ to be raised to life as Christ Himself.
8. The resurrection enabled believers to live a resurrected life.
9. The resurrection provided for Jesus Christ to intercede for believers to live a resurrected life.
10. The resurrection foreshadowed the new life that God will bring in regenerating the entire cosmos.
