March 24 update tomato growth spurt

Lori Fiechter here checking out Stan's shed seedlings. Good news and less-good news. The good news is that the tomato seedlings look great--they've grown so much in 3 days that they will be ready to transplant this week. On the other hand, Stan found aphids on several pepper plants. I made a dilute solution of permethrin and he is testing it out on them--he's not going to spray all the peppers until he sees how they do with this.
Stan has been busy pruning the pear trees yesterday and today--mainly cutting them down to size. They have grown far too tall for harvesting. The peach trees are starting to get ready to bloom so I'll have updates on them in the next few days.
Happy gardening!
