World AthleticsChampionships: Neeraj Chopra claims silver in men's javelin

Chopra won silver in the men's javelin event at the 2022 World Athletics Championships in Oregon with a best throw of 88.13m on Saturday. This is India's second-ever medal at the World Athletics after Anju Bobby George's bronze in women's long jump in 2003. Fellow Indian Rohit Yadav finished 10th in the same event with a best throw of 78.72m. Meanwhile, in the men's triple jump final Eldhose Paul finished ninth with a best jump of 16.79m.
