LG V60 ThinQ Dual Screen 5G First Impressions & Unboxing Euphoria...

Not all unboxings have been euphoric... similar to some birthday, and surprise shipments from Amazon. That being said, I was very excited to finally try another LG gadget. This organization, an abbreviation for "Life's Good" has been around since the 1940s and finally became LG in 1995 according to what I was able to find on Wikipedia. I enjoy immensely seeing any entity survive for more than a decade. So, what did I think of this newest gadget and will be making my life good again...? No, no it won't, and no will any smart device. A smartphone whether it was $100 from Walmart or you dropped $1,000.00 at the Apple Store is not going to add some monumental aspect to life. The purpose of a phone is a communicator and a resource.

Now, not all smartphones are alike. As I type this review description, I approach the 24th hour since the unboxing I have a few pros & cons already:
Cons
1. the video camera suffers the same issues as my OnePlus 6T - yellow lighting for indoor shots
2. camera is okay, not nearly as good as the Samsung S20
3. the front screen, when inside the dual-screen case, was underutilized. LG could and should have don't more with all that screen real-estate
4. The dual-screen comes in handy, yet at a heavy price in your pocket. Literally, the fancy device feels very heavy when walking around the house.
5. design of how the dual-screens interact need more work - it is NOT intuitive
6. for a brand-new smartphone the overall speed of the RAM and processor leaves me wanting more RAM or a different processor
7. no wide-angle photo option for the front-facing camera

Pros
1. dual-screens can be fun
2. camera options are easy to use
3. LG UI (user interface) is easy
4. two screens brings new ideas for multi-tasking
A. you can watch a video in full screen while responding to text messages or emails
B. you can watch a video while doing Facebook video calls and the caller cannot hear your video volume
C. you can watch two videos simultaneously
5. battery life has been great. It made it all through the night, without getting put into airplane mode and only dropped 1%. 14 hours into the battery cycle I'm at 81% with 1 hr 37 min of screentime
6. it came with screen recording - a huge plus, and really should be a standard for any phone purchased by me, and many others in 2020
