Iceland Red Sands Beach at sunset, Wonder of Iceland 4K

Red sand beach (Rauðisandur beach) in a stunning place located in the Westjords of Iceland, famous for having golden red sands rather than black sands like most other beaches in Iceland.

Rauðisandur is one of the most amazing and peaceful places in Iceland.

There is a great little camping site just by the beach for tents and cars, there is a big barque that everyone can use on site and the toilets are very clean and tidy (Great site) and about 10 minutes walk from there to the beach.

We were very lucky with weather during the visit, note the fog crawling over the cliffs in distance.

One more thing: The Westfjords are usually only accessible in the summer months
