The Nintendo Switch is one nice console, but in its portable mode, it sorely needs a D-Pad. The Nintendo Switch Lite has a D-Pad, but what about all of us with a normal Nintendo Switch? What about us? Hori has you covered. It is easily the best (and only) third party Joy Con for the Nintendo Switch.

I know the thing has been out for some time, but I was using it this morning and I wanted to talk about it.

My personal background with this adapter is as follows:

Last year, I got a call from my sister, in the wee-hours of the morning that while my parents were out of state, my father had a severe fall. (He is over 70, so you can imagine that he could (and did) get severely hurt.). My sister picked me up and we went to meet my mother while my father was taken by the paramedics. I did bring my Switch and it was a nice escape for the two weeks, we were in the hospital with him. He was sedated some of the time following his spinal-cord surgery. I'm sure you can imagine that learning to walk again in the 7th generation of life is quite difficult.

Fast forward, almost one year later, he is able to walk with a walker but needs to have somebody with him.

Ok, why did I tell that story? The reason is simple: while I was in the hospital room, I played a bunch of classic games, including Mega Man, NES, etc. I started looking for a solution and came across this adapter. I have not been disappointed.
