WHO Director-General, Dr. Tedros Ghebreyesus--neither a doctor or scientist--declared the monkeypox outbreak a "public health emergency of international concern," though currently "concentrated among sex who have sex with men." He continued that with "the right strategies," the outbreak can be stopped.
