Citrus WMA - State of the Trail - Colorado AEV Bison Flexing on the Trails with a Jeep
It has been about four and a half months since the last time we were at Citrus WMA. We had the opportunity to go out there with another Buffalo Off-Road group member, so we loaded up the Chevy Colorado ZR2 AEV Bison and met up with our friend in his lifted Jeep Wrangler JLU Sahara.
We entered from Lecanto Highway into Trail 16. What a way to start. The west half of trail 16 is quite the sloppy, muddy, and rutted out trail. It was a tone of fun!
Another good update is that trail 14 is started to get fun again. Last year they closed the trail and filled all the good stuff in. This basically removed all the fun parts. I am happy to say that the rains and usage have started to wash out the trail and have made it fun again!
A full Florida downpour also hit us mid ride. It was interesting to see how the rain impacted the trails, and how the water flowed. It was crazy and fun!
