Part 6 - Liberty Street July 4th Doll Parade

Part 6 is the final Grand Finale segment. It starts out with a marching band of 5 Shirley Temple dolls dressed in costumes from her movies. They are marching to the tune of “The Toy Trumpet” from her movie, “Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm.” Coming right after is a large red convertible driven by Marjorie with her best friend Yolanda (vintage cloth doll, also making her debut from the Christmas Carol) in the passenger seat. Marjorie’s younger brother Johnny stands up in the rumble seat with a huge air balloon hovering overhead. The song “Living in The USA” originally by the Steve Miller band from 1972 is adapted by Laura’s tribute cover version recording of this song to the theme of the video. They are followed up by a huge blue jeep full of vintage dolls pulling an even larger air balloon. A 19 inch “Betsy McCall” doll is driving with a doll made in Italy in the passenger seat. The 2 vintage dolls in the back are from the 1950s. The doll on the left is a doll Laura has had since she was a baby, given to her by her grandparents. This is the end of the parade. We then quickly transition to a night scene at 4 Liberty Street as the dolls have gathered for the backyard potluck. The fireworks show is the grand finale as Laura’s tribute cover tune is played, “Proud to Be An American.” (Originally written by Lee Greenwood.)
