167

Part 3 continues with an old Army Jeep full of vintage dolls dressed in WWII uniforms rolling down Liberty Street to the tune of a marching band playing "Glenn Miller's, In the Mood." They are followed up by a Barbie and Ken marching band playing the "U.S. Airforce" Anthem (Wild Blue Yonder). There are little Barbie kids in classic kiddie cars, Barbies on bikes, with a vintage 1959 Barbie and 1960 Ken make their grand entrance in a red corvette, followed up by a vintage Midge, Skipper, GI Joe and family in an SUV. No parade is complete without a Calliope with a circus type delight by a Barbie and G.I. Joe. on a circular wheel. This part finishes up with a Civil War tribute with dolls on horses, marching and in a wagon, as well as on a float including Abraham Lincoln and more dolls dressed from the civil war era, including a small Shirley Temple doll dress in the costume dress she wore in her movie , "The Littlest Rebel." and a portion of the Gettysburg address. This is all to the tune of a marching band playing "The Battle Hymn of the Republic". Parade continues in Part 4 (of 6).
