Former US President Donald Trump's ex-advisor Steve Bannon was convicted on Friday of contempt of Congress for defying a congressional subpoena from the US House committee probing the Capitol riot. Bannon was found guilty of refusing to appear for a deposition and refusing to provide documents in response to the committee's subpoena. He faces up to two years in jail.
