1981-09-20 San Francisco 49ers vs Atlanta Falcons

I'm going to start putting up all of the 81 49ers games that I can each month. I should be done sometime in early 2020.

Steve Bartkowski vs Joe Montana. At this time Bartkowski was probably the bigger name as far as the NFL goes. Bartkowski won a playoff game in 1978. Montana was 3-6 as a starting QB going into this game. But things would change soon enough. Not this afternoon though. Montana had a rough game.
