PTSD from a first Responders point of view

This video is my personal explanation of how PTSD affected/affects me. I was a full time firefighter paramedic, part time instructor, and had multiple traumas in life, some as a child.
Ptsd is a real problem. It can’t always be seen, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t present. It involves anger, involves anxiety, self esteem issues, difficulty being able to sleep, amongst others behaviors. It can change how your mind sees the world, sees yourself, how you react, how you treat everyone around you, and your trajectory in life.
I hope that this video finds its way to anyone who may be struggling, or close to someone that is struggling from ptsd or Complex post traumatic stress disorder, so they can hear that they aren’t alone. Learning about the condition will help us grow and live more fulfilled lives in the world. The thoughts aren’t crazy. We are not broken. We are simply processing the life we experienced, and have the ability to grow stronger because of it !
At least from my experience….. you own the struggle, own it completely, try to improve, let the victim mentality go if you are in it, see the growth that is now available, the wisdom obtained, and benefits of trauma came bring rather than the mental chaos that may be currently present
