California Bans HCG! No More Compounded Human Chorionic Gonadotropin in California!

California has decided to ban compounded HCG from any pharmacy outside of California. They have also deemed Human Chorionic Gonadotropin to now be a controlled substance. So if you are on TRT with a telemedicine clinic you are pretty much out of luck!

Inadequate Supply Concerns

Many patients report a continued short supply of hCG to meet the demand, which will be heightened without compounded medication to meet patient needs. If this is a concern, you may email FDA Drug Shortage Coordinator, Leo Zadecky, at Leo.Zadecky@fda.hhs.gov to share your inability to access the drug and the impact it has for your well-being. With a collective effort from the HRT community sharing an inability to access the drug, perhaps it will raise awareness with the FDA to allow compounders to continue to supply it.
