This is the Most Basketball Obsessed Country in the World!

On every street corner, neighborhood, or barangay, you will find a basketball court. Sometimes, even without a cement or wood floor. Filipinos will play on grass, soil, even on sand. And everyone plays: big, small, short, tall, rich, poor, and middle class. You’ll find players wearing shoes, tsinelas, and even just bare feet.

So it begs the question, “why?” Why do Filipinos love this sport so much?
