A unique way to find the area of the missing region | Minute Math #geometry

In the following diagram, we have a square with 4 regions inside. Each region is made from the midpoint of each side length to a common point inside the square. The areas created are 5, 8, and 7 units squared. What is the area of the missing region? We use geometry to solve this math problem.
