We always thought that it was our God-given right to question everything they would say
But when we demanded answers, they warned that the truth was not worth the price we would pay

We never asked for a war
And all we wanted was more
Than to be chained to their lies
But they left us with no choice
Chipped away at every voice
Leaving only our battle cries

Baptized in firelight
