#GVOS2020 - Cymbidium NoID 'Beach Balls'

This Cymbidium was a 'I need to have an orchid to unpot, clean and repot' buy. As I am a little challenged for space, I found this smaller version of cymbidium and took it home not knowing what it's blooms look like. Last year she bloomed with 1 spike and showed her beautiful pink and beige blush flowers. This year, and currently in bloom (March 2020), she has 6 spikes & first new growth is already underway. I have her in 100% leca with a self-watering set up. She lives outside all year round and tolerates temperature ranges of 5ºC to anything our hot summers throw at us. The leaf tips are dry because of the lack of humidity, in my climate, during the growth phase. All in all, an easy to care for orchid and very rewarding to boot! The personal ID came from one of my instagram followers, who commented that the buds look like beach balls... the idea stuck!
