Using the Baking Soda and Murphys Oil Soap cleaning mix.

1:42 Cleaning the panels
2:13 Rinsing the panels
3:30 UV Protectant applied

With the heavy smoke this summer and fall from nearby fires, the hot air panels were very dirty. Time to mix up a fresh batch of cleaner, first adding oil soap to last year's mix and letting that re-hydrate. Then adding more baking soda to make a thick paste.

If the weather cooperates, I try to clean the panels before a heavy rain storm in order that the rain will rinse off the panels after cleaning. But this year, that's not an option, so I have to carry a bucket of clean water up onto the roof to rinse the panels after cleaning.
