Magnified LED Worklight V2, Part 2

Fitting the 8" round LED tube into the lamp housing, wiring and testing the finished product.

Unfortunately I had discarded all the original tube mounting hardware 5 years ago.

The 3D printed standoffs were designed in Fusion 360. 30mm diameter with a 30mm diameter cutout (to match the LED tube diameter) and the base about 10mm high to allow air flow above the tube. Standoff design on Thingiverse:

Used some plumbing strap material to make the bulb retaining pieces, cut and bent to fit.

The lamp stays fairly cool, a bit of heat out from the driver but well within the rating of the part. The old CFL tube used to heat up the lamp housing and made it uncomfortable to use in the summer with that heat radiating up onto your face.
