The station fronts Saint George's Square, This Grade I Grecian-style gem Designed by the architect James Pigott Pritchett and built by the firm of Joseph Kaye in 1846–50,Statue of Harold Wilson outside Huddersfield Railway Station, Wilson who was born in Huddersfield, was Labour Prime Minister between 1964-1070, and 1974-1976.
