On the 11th local time, Lithuania announced that it would expand the list of embargoed goods to Kaliningrad, including cement, timber, alcohol products, etc., and the subsequent embargo list will also be expanded to coal, oil and petroleum products. On the same day, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Belarusian President Lukashenko's call may take joint measures against the embargo of Russia and Belarus.
The Russian side has warned Lithuania and the European Union that if the transportation of goods to and from the country cannot be resumed, Russia will take "severe measures" to counterattack.
Kaliningrad Oblast is located between Poland and Lithuania, and Lithuania is the only railway connection to the Russian mainland. From June 18, Lithuania began to restrict the transportation of some goods in the state on the grounds of EU sanctions.
