Cold Flame Of Duplicity

Cold Flame of Duplicity

A flame burns blue when the fire of knowledge has been fueled by ignorance.
Hearts that should be warmed by compassion don the vicious chill of apathy.
Molten wax drizzles down the side of the candle, hardened by cold of hearts.

It shall take a thousand tips of light to snuff out the indifference of a people
encapsulated by the truth of a lie, and a lie fueled by a catalyst of hypocrisy.
A flame of duplicity flourishes when a lie becomes more powerful than truth.

A truth that’s told with bad intent
Beats all the lies you can invent--
William Blake
