Can States Like Texas Succeed From Corporation Known As The United States?

For a few years now we have been hearing that Texas wants to succeed from the Corporation known as The United States. We know what the last succession brought to our nation. So is succession possible? Does the Constitution allow this? Is the Constitution even valid anymore?
