Touring an old civil war fort in Nevada

Recently I went out to Nevada on vacation and on the last day in Nevada I drove out to what seemingly is the middle of the desert to an old fort built before the civil war. it was originally built for defense against native Americans like the Paiute. The fort was built in 1860 (civil war was from 1861-1865) and the fort was abandoned in 1869.
