I'll Be There, Steve Burk original song 1990, 2022

I wrote this song back in 1990. I would often sit on the amazing Canadian beaches here in Ontario and pretend I was on a beach in California! California seemed like such a cool place to be since great bands like Van Halen came from there! Not just that, images of hot bikini girls, surfing, sunset strip, rock clubs, Hollywood etc... who wouldn't want to go there? I'm so glad I finally got a chance to go there in 1991, not once, but twice! I met so many great musicians, all wanted me to join their great bands! Met so many hot girls who all wanted a piece of me too! Heaven on earth! LOL
But then shit grunge came along and ruined all of our dreams. Perhaps there was just way too many bands with the same image; singers all trying to look like David Lee Roth, guitar players all trying to play like Eddie Van Halen etc... So it just got ridiculous perhaps. But it was so fun! fuck lol
Anyways, this is the song I wrote about dreaming about going to California! I still can't believe I got to go there! wow! Best time in my life!
