We had a coyote scare last night Scamp is fine NW NC Appalachia Doe and fawn Lady & Scamp

Three coyotes chasing a fawn ran up our property yesterday late afternoon. My 38 was in the house. I ran after them and banged on the carport trying to scare them and slow them down. It’s the circle of life and I probably wouldn’t shoot one unless it was threatening us, I’m just glad it wasn’t Scamp. My first instinct was it was a little smaller and less spotted. I didn’t hear any screams. Pretty sure it got away. It was a small coyote with two babies in tow. Could have been teaching them how to hunt.
