UK records hottest day ever as fires erupt in London

Britain has shattered its record for the highest temperature ever registered, topping 40C for the first time in a country ill-prepared for such extremes. Speaking from Wennington, CNN correspondent Bianca Nobilo told Today "around 100 acres worth has been ignited" as fire erupt in London.
