Pronouns in the workplace

Newspeak in the liberal world order. Honest questions: If people can define their own pronouns, and some choices could be considered offensive, tedious or unserious, should some pronouns not be allowed? Should there be a limit on how often a person can request to be called by a new pronoun to prevent an unreasonable amount of confusion and inefficiency?
