Morning Meeting with Michael Reeder

Swartz & Reeder Advisors (SRA) is a CPA firm based in the greater Chicago area working with small business clients locally and nationwide with a niche in the franchise industry.
Michael Reeder CPA, the managing shareholder of SRA, carved out his niche in the franchise industry when he began partnering with franchise consultants in 2015 by offering their franchise-buying candidates free consultation calls in order to dive deep into their questions they had during the franchise selection process that were in the subject matters of accounting, tax, entity structure, funding, financial projections, resale financial statement due diligence, item 19 of the FDD and item 21 of the FDD.
Michael’s primary focus on these consultation calls is to provide value to both the franchise-buying candidate and the franchise consultant. Michael provides value to the franchise-buying candidate by answering their questions and advising them in the subject matters listed above. Michael provides value to the franchise consultant by being a “CPA tool” on the consultant’s toolbelt of resources that they can tap into at any time in order to enhance the value proposition they provide their franchise-buying candidates.

SRA provides certain services that are part of the franchise selection process, and others that are standard ongoing accounting and tax services that occur after the franchise-buying candidate invests in a franchise and becomes a franchisee.
The services SRA provides to franchise-buying candidates as part of the franchise selection process are 1) resale financial statement due diligence, 2) item 21 of the FDD due diligence and 3) financial projections preparation.
The services SRA provides to franchise-buying candidates once they invest in their business and become franchisees are 1) entity set-up services, 2) income tax preparation services (business and individual), 3) bookkeeping services (ongoing or training), 4) payroll services, 5) sales tax reporting services, 6) tax projection and year-end tax planning services, 7) tax resolution services and 8) financial reporting services.
Whether the franchise-buying candidate ends up working with Michael and SRA in a paid context or not, Michael always strives to provide maximum value during the free consultation calls. Michael strives to educate and advise the franchise-buying candidate as much as possible in the subject matters of accounting, tax, entity structure, funding, financial projections, resale financial statement due diligence, item 19 of the FDD and item 21 of the FDD as they pertain to the franchise-buying candidate’s franchise selection process.
