LET'S TALK EPIDENDRUM PARKINSONIANUM - a species that can be forgiven if it had an identity crisis!

Native to Southern Mexico through Central America down to Panama, Coilostylis parkinsoniana has become extremely difficult to find in the wild. Mine is growing in 100% leca in a self watering pot, despite the fact that it is highly recommended to mount this beautiful species. As the orchid grows, it's needs will change and I will have to accommodate it's growing habit... possibly having to mount it. But for now, enjoy this gorgeous orchid, with the most amazing blooms that have a very strong fragrance at night, similar to fresias and jasmin. Thank you so very much for watching this video!
