South Korea asks China for help on car urea shortage
According to a report by Yonhap News Agency on the 8th, Chinese Ambassador to South Korea Xing Haiming said on the same day that China's strengthening of chemical fertilizer export supervision caused the shortage of urea (diesel engine exhaust treatment fluid) for vehicles in South Korea. Xing Haiming said that China's fertilizer export supervision measures are not aimed at any country, and are indispensable measures to stabilize and control the domestic market.
South Korean foreign ministry officials said on the 8th that a total of 18,000 tons of urea has been signed with China for import contracts, and they are currently negotiating with China on the import of this batch of urea.
